McPherson College is seeking outstanding applicants for the college’s Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach. This position is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position and is eligible for the college’s full employee benefits plan. Housing may be available in exchange for participation on the student life on-call team.

McPherson College, in McPherson, KS, is a career-oriented liberal arts institution with membership in the NAIA and the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Reporting to the Head Soccer Coach, the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach will assist the head coach in managing all aspects of the program. The assistant coach is responsible for developing, guiding and teaching the game strategies for the sports program and providing the support necessary for the student-athletes to be successful in their athletic and academic endeavors.

Duties include but are not limited to assisting the head coach with recruitment and retention of student-athletes; scouting; scheduling; team travel; summer camps; community service; academic monitoring with integrity; enforcement of team policies and procedures; off-season conditioning; leading training sessions; knowledge of and adherence to college, conference and NAIA rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and intercollegiate playing experience required.

Preferred Qualifications: Coaching education and experience preferred.
