McPherson College is seeking a Director of Track and Field/Head Track Coach with the proven ability to manage a successful program.  This individual will be responsible for daily management, instruction and administration of all phases of the Track and Field program in accordance with all NAIA and College regulations. Specific areas of responsibility include: instructing on practice, game preparation and strategy; assistant coach and support staff supervision; recruitment of prospective student-athletes; retention of student-athletes, monitoring the academic progress of the Track and Field and Cross Country student-athletes; preparation and oversight of budget; community outreach; and program-specific and departmental fundraising.

The successful candidate must possess and will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong work ethic and self-motivation, the ability and willingness to be a positive role model, department member and representative of the college.

Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters’ preferred; three years of collegiate coaching experience required. This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position and reports to the Athletic Director.  This is a 12-month position.
