McPherson College is seeking a Head ESports Coach with the proven ability manage a successful program. This individual will be responsible for daily management and administration of all phases of the eSports program in accordance with the National Association of College eSports (NACE) and College regulations. Specific areas of responsibility include: practice, game preparation and strategy; recruitment of prospective student-athletes; retention of student-athletes, monitoring the academic progress of the eSports student athletes; preparation and oversight of budget; community outreach; and program specific and departmental fundraising. All of these activities are done in a teaching and educational environment for the student athlete.
The successful candidate must possess and will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, strong work ethic and self-motivation, the ability and willingness to be a positive role model, department member and representative of the college.
Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters’ preferred; three to five years of collegiate coaching experience preferred. This is a part-time, exempt, benefits eligible position and reports to the Athletic Director.
