Did you know that the list of careers requiring mathematical skills is constantly increasing? With a degree in math, you can work in consulting, finance, software engineering, policy analysis, banking or even forensic science.

We also prepare our students for careers in teaching and prepare you for graduate school. Is conducting authentic research important to you? Our students also complete senior research projects on topics of their choosing.

The purpose of the mathematics program is to develop students who understand mathematics as an academic discipline, who can use mathematics as a problem-solving tool in other disciplines, and who are skilled in mathematical reasoning, problem solving, critical thinking and communication.
We offer a Mathematics major and minor and a secondary teaching licensure. See our Catalog for program and course descriptions.
Our faculty are outstanding and dedicated to meeting student needs.
McPherson College offers scholarships and financial assistance to all of its students.

From the Mathematics faculty:

“Mathematics is my first love.  Although I know that not everyone shares my enthusiasm for the mathematical world, I aim to share some of it so that we can all learn to appreciate math and become better consumers of the math that surrounds us.”
