Presidential Scholarship Competition recipients

The February 10, 2007 Presidential Scholarship Day at McPherson College brought 42 high school students from 10 different states to campus to compete for a prestigious Presidential Scholarship. The Admissions Office was excited to have such a large number of students attend this competition.

In order to qualify for the competition, students must meet two out of the following three requirements: class rank in the top 20%, cumulative grade point average of 3.6, ACT score of 25 or higher. Candidates in the Scholarship Competition were evaluated based on an essay, group discussion, and interview. Participants were also able to learn more about the campus through discussions with McPherson faculty, staff, and students.
