Alumni and students produce "Best of Show" winner

A 1956 DeSoto Fireflite Sportsman recently restored by Tim Bowers, owner of Stellar Antique Auto Restorations in Windom, Kan., was awarded "Best of Show" at the 21st Annual Convention and Car Show of the National DeSoto Club in Albuquerque, NM July 26-30, 2006.

Besides Bowers (’83), former and current students that contributed to the restoration include Gary Martin, owner of Goldfied Upholstery (’84), Levi Mason (’02), Darrell Cole (’06), and James Knight (’07).

In addition to restoring antique and classic cars full time, Bowers continues to teach part time for McPherson College’s auto restoration program, teaching Welding and Panel Fabrication.
