The exhibit is a sampling of the huge variety of mediums and artistic concepts that students explore at MC. Among the mediums used: ceramic, computer graphic design, charcoal, watercolor, pencil, marker, metal jewelry, stone sculpture, and batik fabric.

Dr. Reed will be the guest for McPherson College’s Religious Heritage Lecture, now in its 25th year. The lecture starts at 4 p.m. March 3 at the McPherson Church of the Brethren with Dr. Reed speaking on the topic of: “Death, Disease, and Demographics in Jesus’ Galilee - A New Look at the First Christians.”

Through Feb. 8, Friendship Hall at McPherson College will be filled with the work of professional artists Jim Rigg of Manhattan, Kan., and Donna Brigman of Hutchinson, Kan. Rigg is known for his abstract and geometric work, while Brigman works with watercolor, incorporating acrylic and molding paste, and has painted subjects including Kansas landscapes and floral abstracts.
