My advice to you: Gather as much information as you can early in the college selection process. Don’t wait to take the ACT/SAT until your senior year and apply early to schools you are considering.

I think MC is a great college because of our focus on real world outcomes. Our students consistently outperform national averages in job placement rates. I also appreciate how we are constantly enhancing the student experience – the Student Debt Project, the student health care facility, and Bulldog Adventures are just a couple of examples.

My advice to you: Tour campus! No matter where you think you want to go to school, make sure to take that campus tour before officially deciding. Once you are on the campus, you get a great feel for what the campus environment is like and if it is the right fit for you.

My advice to you: Start your college visits early and bring some questions to ask on your visit. Your junior year is a great time to check out any schools you think you may want to attend and learn more about many different colleges.

I think MC is a GREAT college because of the community you’ll be welcomed into. McPherson College is a place where you will never lack support. Our professors, coaches, administrators, and staff members are all in your corner and rooting for you to succeed – even after you graduate!

My advice to you: No matter where you go, college will challenge you in ways you never expected. Keep an open mind and be ready to leave your comfort zone behind, this is your time to grow as a person and decide who you want to be!

College can be a disorienting experience-on your own in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people for the first time can be rough for everybody. What’s so amazing to me is how hard everybody at McPherson College works to make you feel at home, from faculty to staff, and even our students, you really feel that there is a place for everyone in our campus community!
