McPherson College seeks dynamic and innovative candidates for the live-in or live-on campus position of Director of Housing and Residence Life.

The Director of Housing and Residence Life acts as a primary administrator of the residence life program. In this live-in or live-on position, the Director of Housing and Residence Life is responsible for developing and implementing a rich and positive residential experience. Reporting to the Dean of Students, this position oversees Resident Directors and Resident Assistants, residential programming and functions, housing operations, and residential conduct.

This is a 12-month, full-time exempt position with some evening and/or weekend hours. This is a live-in or live-on position (or successful applicant could live within close proximity to the college campus).  In addition to salary, compensation may include a two-bedroom apartment or duplex, utilities, and meal plan.  This position is eligible for full college benefits including a generous retirement benefit.  Finally, this position participates in an on-call rotation.

The ideal candidate will exercise a high level of discretion and judgment in the day-to-day operation, embraces and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, and possesses strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:
Education:  Bachelor’s degree in student services, education, counseling, or closely related field required; Masters preferred
Experience:  2-3 years’ experience in student services/residential life preferred

Compensation:
Salary based on qualifications.
