Dr. Olivia Gearner received her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Biology at Western Kentucky University and her Ph.D. in Entomology at Purdue University. Her training is in describing, classifying, and reconstructing evolutionary trees of the most diverse group of animals on the planet – beetles. Her other research interests are on the impact of habitat on insect diversity and insect communication. She is passionate about the natural world and loves teaching biology to students at all levels and interests.
