McPherson College seeks dynamic and innovative candidates for the position of Director of Student Wellbeing.
The individual in this role acts as a primary administrator of the Student Affairs program and staff related to student mental health and wellness and reports to the Dean of Students. The Director will plan, organize, and direct programs, operations, and activities addressing the mental health needs of students; including prevention programming, health education, and health and safety risk management; the screening, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of health conditions; coordinate and direct communications, services, resources, and information to meet student health needs and supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
This is a 12-month, full-time exempt position with some evening and/or weekend hours. This position serves as an afterhour’s consultant for student crises. Additionally, this position is eligible for full college benefits including a generous retirement benefit and a full college tuition benefit after only two years of employment. This position will supervise student employees.
The ideal candidate will exercise a high level of discretion and judgment in the day-to-day operation, embraces and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, and possesses strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in counseling, social work or a related field or equivalent certification is required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and institutional technology such as Jenzabar CX, Adirondack, Formstack and Canva is preferred.
Compensation:
Salary based on qualifications.
